About Us

Pearson Publishing Company was formed in 2005 with the intention of bringing to the public, created works, that might not otherwise have found their way through the vast labyrinth of the mega publishing empires of today.

The name was selected to celebrate the Editor’s personal history of publishing in her family:

Great-Grandfather, John William Pearson, minister, writer, teacher, college administrator, served in the  army of the Confederate States of America.

Grandmother (daughter of John William Pearson), Lady Kate Pearson Medders, librarian, writer, and teacher.

Great-Uncle (son of John William Pearson), John William Pearson, Jr., printer, editor, publisher, and writer for the Coolidge Herald in Coolidge, Texas.

Cousin (son of John William Pearson, Jr.), John Russell Pearson who worked in the printing industry in Dallas, Texas for many years.

Cousin (daughter of John William Pearson, Jr.) Lady Leoma Pearson Carter Fain, teacher and writer.

Uncle, (son of Lady Kate Pearson Medders), John Pearson Medders, printer, writer, journalist, photographer, editor, publisher, retired as Senior Editor of Publications for Lockheed.

Mother, (daughter of Lady Kate Pearson Medders), Katherine Sutton Medders Jagoe, writer and teacher.

Sister, (daughter of Katherine Sutton Medders Jagoe), Ann S. Jagoe, Ph.D., writer, teacher, and college administrator.

Our Editor, (daughter of Katherine Sutton Medders Jagoe), Katherine Pearson Jagoe Massey, known as “Kippy” from her initials “KP,” writer, librarian, archivist, historian, college administrator, editor, and publisher for Pearson Publishing Company.
